The clear and pure water flows from the bountiful forests, numerous hot springs and the lake which stretches at the foot of the desolate volcanic range, the fertile ocean called "shiome", where the Black Current and Oyashio Current clash...all of these sceneries are here in Fukushima Prefecture. The landscape of Fukushima, where the east faces the Pacific Ocean and where the Ohu Range and Abukuma Mountains run through longitudinally, has produced a wide array of tastes and crafts and at the same time it brings together a variegated nature and diversified climates across the prefecture. The people of Fukushima, who live in the 60 municipalities, enjoy climates of their own and the colors of their homeland.
