
Ouchijuku
Ouchi-juku used to be prosperous as an important lodging for Shoguns or
lords on the Aizu-nishi road during the Edo period. Now this spot is
preserved as a National important Heritage Site .@Many thatched houses
lined up along the both sides of the road make you feel that you are back in
the Edo period.
In Ouchi-juku, there are many souvenir and local food shops as well as
restaurants to eat Soba noodles.@The whole of Ouch-juku can be seen from
the shrine on the mound at the end of the road. The scenery from this angle
is often introduced in various tourist programs. This fantastic view and
the deep mountains in Aizu together arouse
travelerfs sentiment.
