Vestige of Wakamatsu-jo Castle (Tsuruga-jo Castle)
It is said that Ashina Morinao built this castle as Kurokawa-jo Castle in 1384. In 1592, Gamou Ujisato built the castle tower and renamed it Tsuruga-jo Castle. The present castle tower was rebuilt in 1965. The inside of tower is a local museum where historic materials, mainly important cultural assets, are displayed.
