A 'Snow Corridor' in Fukushima Prefecture!!

February 23, 2016

When the cherry blossoms in Hanamiyama Park of Fukushima are in full bloom, two towering walls of snow appear on a section of the Bandai-Azuma Skyline sightseeing road.

They reach a height of around four meters and flank the road that runs about 29 kilometers between Takayu Onsen via Jododaira to the Tsuchiyu mountain pass. Snow Corridor is the awesome name given to the sight, which is available to visit from early April. It melts by May. We recommend that you visit Fukushima prefecture early to enjoy cherry blossoms and the Snow Corridor at the same time!
