Hot in Yanaizu

Yanaizu Town is best known as the birthplace of the legend of the lucky red cow ‘Akabeko’ of Fukushima, but it’s also famous for manju. I tried my hand at making Awa-manju in Yanaizu Town. It was quite difficult to perfectly fit the red bean paste inside the millet buns, but they still tasted really good! Also, visitors can try painting an Akabeko cow in the same building. Please take your time & enjoy the slow pace of Japanese countryside life in Yanaizu Town.
