Ouchi-juku is a picturesque, historic town which has been preserved as it was in the Edo Period. The main street is lined with traditional farm houses topped with thatched rooves.
Experience Ouchi-juku’s fantastic scenery at its most spectacular at the Ouchi-juku Snow Festival, which is held on the 2nd weekend of February.
During the day, watch taiko performances and participate in soba-eating competitions. Later on, be bathed in the warm light of handmade snow lanterns made by residents to light up the town at night. Make sure to enjoy the evening’s firework display too! Please come and experience the winter in Fukushima this year!
